IKEA, with locations few and far between, have consumers traveling from a distance to shop at their stores. Electro-Matic Visual helped provide a solution to IKEA that would help their out of town customers easily spot their location.
IKEA needed a better way to be able to showcase their store specials, brand messaging and creative ads that they were known for in the retail industry.
Even with the iconic IKEA brand colors, the Ontario location wanted to find a solution to help them advertise their new products, outside of their website and catalog.
IKEA wanted a way to welcome their local guests as well as their out-of-town guests traveling to the Ottawa location. They also wanted to showcase some full motion ads, product videos, pictures and even basic text messages. They also wanted to be able to program the sign from different locations, enabling IKEA corporate offices to easily take ownership of their brand messages and instant sales message and display them effortlessly.
Electro-Matic Visual reviewed the requests and objectives from IKEA and came up with a solution for an 18 ft tall, 47 ft wide, LED Billboard, placed over the entrance to the store.
IKEA corporate offices were able to successfully program the LED Billboard from their remote location, and took advantage of the holiday rush that visited the store to promote holiday products, gift suggestions and help with New Year’s Resolution ideas. The eye-catching billboard wasn’t missed by anyone visiting the largest IKEA store in North America.
